What makes people think it is acceptable to criticize someone who is trying to better their lives and their health? I am continuously seeing the world becoming more accepting of over-weight frames and putting down and scolding people who are healthy and fit. (My theory is: it is easier to say you should be plump than to actually go out and exercise).
One major irritating and ignorant thing that I have noticed about people, when it comes to health, is that they don't care if they have it. The world is lazy, America is lazy. The number one cause of death in America is heart disease. Let's face it, we are eating ourselves to death people and the FDA and the government are allowing us. The majority of people that I see on a daily basis are above average weight. Yes, I know the crave nowadays is curve-a-licious girls and big booty Judy's, but you can still be curvy and all the women you think you need to be while eating healthy. In fact, you'll look and feel even better ladies, cause you'll have all the curves in the actual right places. If you don't want to fix your diet in fear of becoming too skinny, not having enough meat on your bones, or not having something to hold on to at night (yes I am referring to Meghan Trainor and her lousy lyrics), do it for your HEALTH. People need to think long term: Am I really going to get the best quality of life out of eating this super sized McDonalds burger and fries? NO NO NO. Eating healthier WILL make you happier, WILL make you feel better, WILL make you want to be more active. And becoming more active WILL make you happier and WILL make you feel better (also exercise is a free anti-depressant, how awesome, right?)
Which brings me to the next topic of working out. If you have ever been a person who has said they "don't have time" to go the gym or exercise at home, please know that nobody actually believes you and nobody "has the time" for your excuses. There are 24 hours in the day, you have time to workout for at least 30 minutes. Instead of watching your favorite tv show, go for a walk, or do cardio while watching it. Yes I know, I am always full of great unique ideas. Do not ever tell me you don't have time to exercise, unless you are the President of the United States, and even HE works out,

The rest of my time will be more productive if you give me my workout time
I can assure you you are not busier than a man who is running an entire country, although I am very understanding if your case is extreme and you have like three jobs and are a single mother of three etc (but even then you can lunge and squat around your house while preparing dinner/doing other duties and responsibilities, get creative). If you want something bad enough, you will get it- you just gotta have the want to.
In conclusion, being unhealthy isn't entirely our faults, the FDA has allowed crazy amounts of sugar in foods, the enrichment and bleaching of grains and wheat, and fillers, which all lead to excessive weight gain and cancer. Although such unhealthy products shouldn't even be accessible to citizens in America, it is, and that is where it stops being the government's fault. It is our job to resist the unhealthy, no matter how delicious it may be. (p.s- cheat days are helpful).
